Social is a powerful tool, but… only if used correctly. Jenny Terris, Account Director at RAPP UK shares her POV on how brands can utilize social media.
Terris states, “I like to think of it this way. Compare ‘Social’ to hanging a picture on the wall. Yes most people can do it. But 9 times out of 10 they probably haven’t thought about the right spot, used the right tools or genuinely don’t have the time to spend getting the positioning right. Sound familiar to some social campaign’s you’ve seen? Build trust over time, and earn advocacy.”
Brands need to ensure that they are being smart when it comes to their social efforts. Followers and likes do not prove brands are using social correctly. So what is the end goal? Loyal, engaged customers.
