This September, RAPP LA’s Advanced Analytics COE team participated in the 2016 DMA Analytic Challenge, to build the most accurate model possible to predict customer expected value. In just one day, the group reviewed the dataset, defined their methodology, built and validated their model and shipped their submission.
Out of 50+ competitors, RAPP LA placed 7th! Their model predicted customer value with a margin or error just $1,500 off of the winning entries – in a data set that contained customer values ranging from -$30K to +20K.
